The short version: We collect what we need to connect your accounts, build your payoff plan, and move payments to your creditors. We use trusted partners (Plaid, Method Financial, and our payment processor) to do this. We do not sell your personal information. You can access, correct, export, or delete your data.

1. Information we collect
We collect the following, depending on how you use STACKr:
Information you give us
- Account details: name, email, password, and your preferences.

Financial information (with your permission)
- Debt and account data: balances, interest rates, due dates, payment history, and account identifiers for the debts and funding account you connect.

- Usage and device data: how you interact with the app, device and browser type, and similar technical data, collected through standard analytics.
2. How we use your information

- To initiate and manage the automated payments you authorize.
- To verify your identity and meet legal and partner requirements.
- To operate, secure, support, and improve the Service.
- To communicate with you about your account, payments, and important updates.
- To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security issues.
3. How we share your information
We share personal information only as needed to run the Service:
- Service providers: account-connectivity, payment, identity-verification, hosting, analytics, and communications providers that process data on our behalf under contract.
- Your creditors and financial institutions: as required to initiate the payments you authorize.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Plaid
We use Plaid Inc. to connect your financial accounts. When you link an account, you authorize Plaid to collect and share information about that account with us so we can provide the Service. Plaid's handling of your information is governed by Plaid's own end-user privacy policy, available at plaid.com/legal.
5. Method Financial
We use Method Financial to retrieve liability information and to move payments to your creditors. To provide these services, we share the information necessary to verify your identity and initiate payments, and Method provides us with data about your connected debts. Method's processing of your information is governed by Method's own terms and privacy practices, which apply in addition to this policy.
6. Billing data
Subscription payments are handled by our third-party payment processor. Your card details are collected and stored by that processor, not by STACKr. We receive limited information such as subscription status and the last four digits of your card for support purposes.
7. How we protect your information
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We rely on Plaid and our payment partner for the security of the bank connections and money movement they operate.
8. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, and afterward as required to meet legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, and recordkeeping obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. (Specific retention periods to be confirmed with counsel.)
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. You can manage much of your information in the app, and you can contact us to exercise these rights. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them. Where required, we will verify your identity before acting on a request.
10. Closing your account and deleting data
You can stop using STACKr and request deletion of your account at any time from your settings or by contacting us. When you delete your account, we disconnect your linked accounts and delete or de-identify your personal information, except information we are required or permitted to retain by law.
11. Children's privacy
STACKr is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy with a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
